Höganäs + Front

In 1909, a master potter and a master glazer got together and started producing simple stoneware vessels in Höganäs, Sweden using the clay mined in the region.  103 years later, this particular geography continues to be a hotbed for churning out quality stoneware designs; An entire centre is dedicated to the remarkable clay items created in the region: Ceramics Centre.

One of the most notable companies, is Höganäs Keramik.

In 2010, Höganäs Keramik partnered with the all female design company, Front to design a new series (15 items- teapots, plates, mugs, bowls, jugs, candlesticks) of Höganäs tableware products.  The line comes in a handful of different colours and finishes, but my favourites are the matt graphite grey, glossy apple red, glossy pale pink.
