Every time I am in London, I visit the Designers Guild store in Chelsea.  It’s become a habit.  I like walking through their two level store and looking at their patterns, materials and designs.

Tricia Guild (and her brother), who co-own Designers Guild, are THE pattern people for inspiration. I have one of Tricia Guild’s beautiful coffee table books and I think my mom owns two as well. I would describe Tricia Guild’s style as always bright, bright, bright, with loads of pattern.

As an example, this is a shot I snapped of a very blue tabletop design while in the store the end of December.

Her and her talented team sure know how to make things pop and layer a table.
